Azerbaijani appraisers association strengthens ties with banking sector

Chairman of the Azerbaijan Society of Appraisers (AQC) and President of the Council of Appraiser Associations of Turkic States (CAATS), Vugar Oruc, has announced new steps toward strengthening cooperation with the banking sector. As part of structural reforms adopted in January 2025, AQC established a new Banking Experts Council.

This newly formed council, created with the participation of 13 major banks and AQC representatives, is intended to serve as a coordination platform between banks and the appraisal community. According to Oruc, the goal is to enhance not only academic collaboration but also ensure formal representation of the banking sector within AQC.

He noted that future plans include engaging young professionals interested in appraisal, advancing professional standards, supporting the work of the national Appraisers Chamber, and maintaining the society’s certification and training programs with improved quality. AQC also aims to present policy recommendations to the Azerbaijani government for the development of the valuation sector and increase the international representation of Azerbaijani appraisers.

"We currently operate as a professional association, but our vision is to become a unified platform for all appraisers across the country," Oruc emphasized.
