"Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the agricultural sector" – AQC Chairman
"The Caspian-Agro 2025 exhibition is an example of Azerbaijan standing out in yet another direction. The personal participation of the President at the exhibition demonstrates the high importance the head of state attaches to the event," said Vugar Oruc, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Society of Appraisers.
According to him, the exhibition, which brought together more than 30 countries and nearly 500 companies, showcased a wide range of agricultural products, machinery, and management systems.
"This is the next most significant event after COP29. The Agro exhibition, initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture, plays a major role in presenting artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. At the same time, Azerbaijan gives serious attention to the agricultural sector. The country possesses considerable opportunities in this field. Our population’s many years of experience in agriculture provides a solid foundation for Azerbaijan to take serious steps in this direction," he noted.
Vugar Oruc emphasized that the COP29 event, aimed at tackling climate change, set certain goals for us. One of these goals is to prevent the damage that climate change may cause to agriculture. This makes international cooperation essential.
The necessity of international collaboration was clearly reflected at the Caspian-Agro 2025 exhibition, where countries participated in groups with their own supplies. They not only showcased their products but also took steps toward facilitating global intergovernmental knowledge exchange.
The significance of such exhibitions lies in the fact that different countries present and share their experiences, leading to better solutions to the existing challenges. All of this is a clear indicator of the attention the Republic of Azerbaijan pays to agricultural policy. This exhibition is an important factor in strengthening Azerbaijan’s efforts to ensure food security.
Caspian-Agro 2025 is a reflection of Azerbaijan's leadership-level initiatives in this field.
Currently, Israel is considered a global leader in agriculture. Given its potential, it is expected that Azerbaijan will also take significant steps in this direction. This exhibition can be considered a serious stage toward achieving important and meaningful innovations in the agricultural sector," he added.
