Vugar Oruc: “International cooperation contributes to the development of the valuation sector”

The Azerbaijan Society of Appraisers (ASA) continues to expand its cooperation both regionally and internationally. For many years, the Association has maintained productive bilateral relations with valuation organizations in Russia, Belarus, and Georgia.

According to Vugar Oruc, Chairman of ASA, the organization currently chairs the Council of Valuation Associations of Turkic States. He noted that leadership within the Council operates on a rotational basis, and the next chairmanship will be transferred to Turkey’s valuation association.

“In addition, we maintain close cooperation with valuation institutions from Central Asian countries. ASA is an active member of the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) and regularly participates in its meetings. We are working to ensure that updates to international valuation standards are implemented in Azerbaijan,” said Vugar Oruc.

He also highlighted that a new structure has been established to support this goal, and a Scientific-Methodological Council has been created under ASA. This Council includes representatives from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Azerbaijan Technical University, Baku Eurasian University, and other leading higher education institutions.

“Through this Council, we aim to support the implementation of international valuation standards in Azerbaijan and to strengthen scientific and methodological work in the field,” Oruc added.

The ASA Chairman further noted that the Association plans to participate in several international conferences in the near future. These events will focus on building new partnerships, learning from international best practices, and strengthening collaboration with academic institutions.

“Expanding international relations in the valuation sector is a key priority for Azerbaijan. Strengthening these ties directly supports the development of the valuation profession in our country,” Vugar Oruc emphasized.
