Azerbaijan Society of Appraisers Summarizes the Year 2025

A formal event dedicated to summarizing the results of 2025 and marking the anniversary of the approval of the Law on Valuation Activity by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held at the Azerbaijan Society of Appraisers.

Organized by the Azerbaijan Society of Appraisers (ASA), the event featured the presentation of the 2025 Annual Report and was also dedicated to the anniversary of the approval of the Law on Valuation Activity by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on December 30, 2023, as well as the New Year and the Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis Worldwide. The event brought together representatives of government institutions, members of the Milli Majlis, professional appraisers, media representatives, and private sector participants.

During the official opening, the activities of the Azerbaijan Society of Appraisers, the work carried out throughout 2025, implemented institutional reforms, and key directions for professional development were highlighted. It was emphasized that 2025 was not only a year of activity for ASA, but also a milestone in strengthening the valuation institution, aligning with international standards, and enhancing professional solidarity.

In his speech, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Society of Appraisers Vugar Oruc stated that the Society’s main objective is to increase transparency in valuation activities across the country, strengthen professional human capital, and further reinforce the role of valuation in economic decision-making. He underlined that cooperation with government bodies, members of parliament, and the private sector has been expanded, with consistent and systematic efforts underway in this direction.

The first congratulatory address was delivered by Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Committee on Public Associations and Religious Organizations, Fazil Mustafa. Commenting on the presented report, he noted that ASA’s active operations play an exceptional role in the development of the valuation sector. He highly praised the Society’s comprehensive activities in international relations and public and professional engagement, describing them as a continuation of the state policy pursued by Azerbaijan.

Subsequently, Members of Parliament Razi Nurullayev, Vugar Bayramov, Jeyhun Mammadov, and Sabina Salmanova spoke about the importance of valuation activities for the country’s economy. They emphasized that professional valuation mechanisms play a crucial role in the real estate market, banking sector, investment environment, and entrepreneurial development. Strengthening institutions operating in this field was highlighted as a key factor directly contributing to economic stability and transparency.

The MPs also particularly noted ASA’s contributions to legislative initiatives, discussions on improving the regulatory framework, its role in the adoption of the new law, the formation of the question bank for qualification exams conducted by the State Examination Center, and the overall development of the valuation sector. They stressed that ASA and its leadership are among the important stakeholders within Azerbaijan’s public and economic ecosystem.

As part of the event, the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) awarded a certificate to ASA Chairman Vugar Oruc. The certificate was presented following a congratulatory address by Leyla Nazirzade, PhD in Philosophy and Head of the Practice Organization Department at UNEC.

The event also featured the presentation of the 2025 Annual Report in video format, showcasing projects implemented throughout the year, international cooperation, training programs and seminars, and efforts aimed at increasing accessibility to valuation services in the regions.

During the continuation of the official program, certificates of appreciation were presented to ASA members distinguished by their active participation, as well as to media representatives who played an important role in communicating the Society’s initiatives to the public.

Following the official segment, the event continued with a festive program. Participants were extended warm wishes on the occasion of the New Year and the Day of National Solidarity of Azerbaijanis Worldwide, and gifts were presented.
